The Bathroom Scale Used To Determine My Mood For The Day
I used to live my life based on whatever the scale said...ever feel like that too?
A few pounds over- forget it...day ruined.
A few pounds under- an angel
HERE’S THE CRAZY THING:
To everyone else around me, I was pretty normal.
The positive or negative thoughts swimming in my head felt so heavy and obsessive I was SURE everyone else was noticing...
But I’d become a pro at flying under the radar - just "fitting in" even if I always felt like the black sheep.
Some of the biggest things that shifted when I started healing my relationship with food and my body...
I felt positive more consistently - I didn’t even realize that I was capable (or worthy) of feeling THIS GOOD.
Relationships elevated - I had NO IDEA how much deeper my connection with anyone from a barista to my best friend could be.
My creativity, goals, and adventure came to life because I finally had enough mental + emotional space for them.
If you feel like your relationship with food, body, or the scale is dictating your happiness...
I have some truth to drop.
YOU’RE HOLDING YOURSELF BACK FROM A LIFE THAT'S WAITING FOR YOU.
"Doing the things" and being "fully present" are very different- something that I definitely didn’t realize when I was struggling.
If this is resonating with you, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I’m so glad that you’re here in our community!
