WFH Tips to Help You Feel Better in Your Body Right Now
If you're feeling a little anxious or triggered right now, you are not alone.
We’re all sitting in a major shade of grey...
And if you're used to living in more of a "black and white" world, let’s recognize that!
Let's use this moment as an opportunity to celebrate + create some modern mindful coping tools so that you can feel totally supported during this time and take advantage of this "self-reflection" period.
These are a few of my favorite work from home tips...
You can keep these in your life kit well beyond your current quarantine situation too ;)
1. Stick with your routine. Wake up + go to bed around the same time every day (essential for circadian rhythm + mental health).
2. Get dressed in the morning. Even if you don't have any meetings on the calendar- this is an INSTANT way to boost body confidence and can also reduce emotional eating!
3. Sit down to enjoy meals + snacks. Instead of grazing anxiously in your kitchen, be intentional. This is an AWESOME time to prioritize non-distracted eating and notice which foods feel the most satisfying.
4. Make a plan. Write out your top 3-5 things that must get done that day. Even if they’re different than your usual work projects, the structure will make you feel calmer + in control.
5. Get outside. Especially right now- use this as an opportunity to take breaks to move your body, breathe fresh air, get some sunlight + call someone to connect. Please just be mindful of staying 6 ft from other walkers.
Bonus Tip: Let go of perfection.
I meant it- these are all just suggestions, certainly not new "rules" to make you feel even more anxious.
Like I always tell my clients- you know your body better than anybody ;)
