How To Use Pinterest For A Better Body Image

I used to spend hours & hours researching "health"/weight loss on Pinterest.

Meal plans, detoxes, clean eating tips, low-calorie recipes, quick fixes to reduce belly bloat- you name it.

It was a big part of my disordered relationship with food + body...

Researching wellness also felt like a part-time job… So years ago when I decided to become a health coach I thought "This is perfect! I'm already spending all of my time looking up this stuff"...a common mindset that I also hear from a lot of my clients when we begin working together.

When I was healing my relationship with food + body image, I gave up Pinterest- kind of like breaking up with a bad boyfriend. It had become such a crutch for unconscious comparison...and I was pissed at how much of my life + mental space I'd invested into browsing ways to fit an ideal body, in the name of "good health" (sneaky sneaky).

But a few weeks ago I started scrolling Pinterest again with a completely different mindset...

And then I had the idea to create a new account where I could curate Intuitive Eating + Body Image content for you so that you have a place to come to amidst all of the diet culture noise.

So I did!

Super excited to do this- Pinterest can be such a fun creative outlet & if you're anything like me, creative expression is high up on your list of life values.

So if you’re on there often, follow along- these are some of the boards I'm adding to daily:

  • Intuitive Eating

  • Body Image

  • Journal Prompts

  • Home Design

  • Personal Development

  • Travel

  • Snacks + Easy Meal

  • Style

  • Self Care + Life Tips

  • Meditation
